About the role

Suguitan Financial Systems is a boutique consultancy specializing in application development within the financial services space. We partner closely with our clients to build high quality software that solves real business problems for our clients and their users.

We are looking for a Junior Full Stack Developer to work directly with a financial services client as part of an engineering team led by Suguitan Financial Systems. This role is ideal for an early to mid career engineer who is eager to grow their technical skills, work directly with experienced mentors, and gain exposure to modern software development practices in a professional environment.

The ideal candidate is eager to improve, takes ownership of their work, and is excited to learn the technical and professional skills required to build high quality software. You will work directly with experienced engineers in a small, collaborative environment where mentorship and professional growth are a core part of the role.

Qualifications

  • 0–4 years of professional software development experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Familiarity with React, Node, Python, and SQL or similar programming languages
  • Understanding of fundamental software engineering concepts and data structures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly

Primary responsibilities

  • Partner with product managers and engineers to plan and implement features
  • Work with technologies such as React, Node, Python, and SQL
  • Review peer code, apply feedback from teammates, and help maintain and raise engineering standards
